I moved to the UK from the USA about five years ago. A few months after my husband and I were settled, I started looking for a job and signed up with several employment agencies in Plymouth. I quickly realised that there was no personal service in these agencies. If they had anything available they would present it to you regardless of your skills or the type of role you were suited for and the minute you walked out the door you were pretty much forgotten. It was up to you to continuously call them and remind them you were still out there and still looking for employment.
When I moved to Exeter just over three years ago, I again signed up with several employment agencies, expecting the same kind of service I’d received in the past. I was quite surprised when Reed called me, a few days later, to discuss a couple of roles that I might be interested in. They not only seemed to have listened to what I said during my registration interview but actually seemed quite interested in finding me a position that was suitable and in line with my current skills. Within a couple of weeks I had a job that was exactly what I’d been looking for.
A couple of years later when I felt that it was time to move on from the position I was currently in, I contacted Rebecca Southern at Reed and told her that I wanted to find a role that was a little more challenging.
Rebecca asked me to come in and discuss exactly what I was looking for and what skills I had acquired in my current position, so that she could find something as ideally suited to me as possible. Rebecca kept in regular contact with me. I didn’t have to worry about calling her every few days if I didn’t hear from her for fear of being forgotten and missing out on an opportunity.
She always provided me with detailed information on the roles I was applying for, the company, and exactly what sort of person they were looking for. Most of all, she made sure that the roles she approached me with were suitable and in line with what I was looking for. Again, within a matter of weeks, she had found me exactly the kind of role I wanted. Within a few weeks Rebecca had found me the perfect job in which I am now very, very happy.
It was not a one off good experience with Reed, their commitment to their clients and candidates is always excellent and consistent. In my roles as Office Manager. I’ve had several occasions to contact Reed for recruitment needs and experience their services from the other side of the fence. I’ve never been disappointed. Rebecca has never sent me a candidate that was not suitable for the position we were hiring for.
I will continue to use Reed in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to either fill a position within their company or someone looking for employment.
I can honestly say that no other recruitment agency that I’ve dealt with has had the same level of service as Reed.
